Tank Garage Winery — Pizza Joint: Pizza Bites

Pizza Joint: Pizza Bites

A late-night snack aisle classic elevated with a winemaker's edge, this dish tucks melted mozzarella, rich marinara, and savory pepperoni into buttery, golden puff pastry, all brushed with a rich, fresh garlic butter finish. It is served piping hot straight from the oven for an effortless, comfort-driven pairing that cuts right through the richness while accentuating every ripe red fruit note in our Napa Valley red blend, Pizza Joint.

Ingredients

What you need:

• 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (thawed 20 mins)

• ½ cup marinara sauce

• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

• ⅓ cup regular pepperoni, finely chopped

• 2 tbsp butter, melted

• 1 clove garlic, minced

• Non-stick cooking spray

Directions

How to make it:

Prep and slice

Preheat your oven to 400°F and grease a 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick spray. Stir the minced garlic into the melted butter in a small bowl. Unroll your thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 12 equal squares using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.

Fill the cups

Gently press each pastry square into a muffin tin slot, letting the corners stick up. Spoon 1 teaspoon of marinara into the bottom of each cup, followed by a pinch of chopped pepperoni, and a generous tablespoon of mozzarella. Brush the exposed pastry corners with the garlic butter.

Bake to golden

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and deeply golden, and the cheese is melted and bubbling. Brush any remaining garlic butter over the tops as soon as they come out of the oven. Let them cool in the pan for 2 minutes so the cheese sets.

Plate and sip

Serve

Pop the bites out of the muffin tin and serve immediately alongside a big pour of Pizza Joint red wine.
