2022 Petal to the Metal, Red Wine, California
Petal to the Metal truly stands out, marrying bold California fruit with the subtle complexity of understated European varietals. Like a classic, meticulously restored old car, it runs with a satisfying power, yet reveals intricate details with every turn. And much like a field of resilient wildflowers, its unique character thrives and blossoms, delivering a wine that's both richly satisfying and remarkably versatile.
2023 Surf Bums, Red Wine, Paso Robles
Due to its intensity, Petite Sirah is one of our favorite grapes. A descendant of France (and a cross between Syrah and Peloursin), this shit is known for its near-black color, high tannins and musculature. Syrah, also from France, has a ruby hue, moderate acidity, dark flavors, and that perfect black pepper spice. This wine is an ode to those real life surf bums. Living out of a van, camping on the beach, chasing swells over dollars. No shorts, no shoes, no problems.
2024 Spacey Jane, Pét-Nat Barbera, Kammerer Vineyard
As the name Pétillant Naturel suggests, Spacey Jane aims to preserve all the vibrant, natural elements of the Barbera grape. We bottled this wine with active yeast, and it remains undisgorged and unfined/unfiltered. This hands-off approach gives it a rebellious, hazy, and beautifully unique appearance, truly reflecting its natural origins.
