Every evening has a moment when the Pacific seems to catch fire. The sky turns amber, the water throws back shards of orange light, and for a few fleeting minutes the horizon feels suspended in time. That’s the moment we chased with A Slow Burn.

Pinot Gris has never been a grape in a hurry. A natural mutation of Pinot Noir dating back centuries, it carries many of its famous cousin’s traits while expressing them through texture rather than tannin. Given time on its skins, it reveals an entirely different personality, trading simple freshness for layers of citrus peel, orchard fruit, gentle spice, and a signature tea-like grip. For A Slow Burn, we sourced fruit from RVR Ranch in Sacramento County, Los Carneros and Sonoma County.

The result is a wine that lives between worlds. Fresh citrus and white peach mingle with dried apricot, orange peel, chamomile, and a subtle tea-like grip that stretches across the palate without ever feeling heavy. The texture is what stays with you, long after the fruit has faded.
