Sometimes, we know a wine is gonna be a hit, but Ancestral Manoeuvres in the Dark is gonna leave reverberations that will forever be etched in Tank's history. It's that good. Old school Tank peeps, remember Pop-Nat? This is that on steroids.

And that's what we told Bertus and his team to make. Electric strawberries, watermelon Jolly Ranchers, and pop rocks in a glass. Make this dream a reality. For that, they knew it had to be Barbera. This Italian grape is iconic for its juicy fruit flavors and mouthwatering acidity, and when you got the plug on the best Barbera vineyards in El Dorado, there is no way to avoid a wine that is a masterpiece.

For our effervescence, we turned to the OG: Méthode Ancestrale, or as you may know it, Pét-Nat. This technique is the predecessor to the Méthode Champenoise that is commonly used in modern sparkling wines but is in our opinion a lot cooler. After pressing Barbera to extract just the perfect amount of color and texture, we bottled the fermenting juice and allowed it to complete this one and only fermentation in the bottle. While modern methods involve a step of adding sugar and starting a second fermentation, Méthode Ancestral hits the jumper on its first shot, creating a more rustic wine with delicate bubbles.

And let us tell you, THIS THING IS FUCKING WILD. Like, the most delicious, refreshing thing that may ever go inside your mouth. Right out of the bottle, its neon pink color and frothy bubbles are otherworldly. Take a whiff, and you'll be treated to sexy and inviting aromas of wild strawberries while bursting bubbles tickle your nose. But like we said, the real party starts in your mouth as this electric pink cookie juice zips over your tongue, treating you to refreshing flavors of fresh-cut strawberries, watermelon candy, and apricots, with a brisk minerality and exhilarating pop. This shit is straight-up orgasmic. You need to try it for yourself.

When we close our eyes and think of this wine, we picture a dark sexy scene and vibrant neon lights washing over us as we dance in the dark. And for a wine like this, the worthy successor to Pop-Nat, you know we needed a label that absolutely glows with sex appeal.
